117,672. Berry, A. F. July 25, 1917. Perforated containers for use in cooking-vessels.-A device, made of metal, earthenware, &c., for promoting circulation of the liquid in a saucepan or other culinary vessel comprises outer and inner tubular portions a, b, connected by an imperforate bottom c resting on the bottom of the saucepan &c. The outer portion a has slots e passing through it, the perforated area extending above the top of the portion b. Vegetables &c. may be cooked in the device. The horizontal slots c may be replaced by vertical slots by round holes. The bottom c may be provided on its underside with feet or with straight or curved ribs or corrugations g arranged either radially or tangentially. Vertical slits or other openings may be formed in the part b.
