Abstract

1,168,348. Video amplifier arrangement. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP. 19 May, 1967 [23 June, 1966], No. 23392/67. Addition to 1,158,779. Heading H4F. The Specification describes a colour video amplifier arrangement basically comprising three amplifier circuits (only one shown) as shown in Fig. 1 of the parent Specification 1,158,779, one for each colour or colour difference signal, and sharing the same sample controlling line fly-back pulse, via a variable resistor 34, Fig. 1. The amplitude of the controlling line fly-back pulse determines the amplification of the respective D.C. video amplifier. Since said pulses are applied with constant ratio (as determined by the setting of resistor 34) to the three video amplifier diodes 13, the white colour balance between the combined outputs of the amplifiers will remain constant, resistor 34 acting as a black and white brilliance control. In the arrangement of Fig. 2, resistors 34 is replaced by a circuit 29, 30, 31, varying the cut-off level of the line fly-back pulses.
