Pyridoxine - 4,5 - cyclic - monophosphate is obtained by phosphorylating pyridoxine, or an acid addition salt thereof, with tetrachloropyrophosphoric acid. The reaction may be carried out with or without a solvent at 0‹ to 20‹ C. Examples are given.
