Abstract

1,164,145. Clay pigeon projector. D. WYNNE. 9 Nov., 1967 ;[9 Nov., 1966], No. 50088/66. Heading A6D. Apparatus for launching disc-like articles to serve as targets for shooting practice, comprises a rotatable magazine assembly having a plurality of equispaced-disc receiving containers, means for indexing the magazine assembly above and in proximity to a table to bring .successive containers successively into register with a disc discharge opening in the table, disc separating means associated with the table in the region of the discharge opening therein for separating the bottom disc in the container in register with the opening and permitting this disc to fall through the opening whilst retaining any other discs in the containing, a launching arm below the table for receiving each successive disc,spring actuating means for rotating the launching arm, means for charging the spring and bringing the launching arm into abutment with stop means and into register with the discharge opening, means for actuating the stop means to release the launching arm for rotation to launch a disc therefrom, and means to vary the direction in which the disc is launched.
