[Also in Division C3] The invention comprises solid bis(4-isooyanatocyclohexyl)methane having a trans-trans isomer content of 85-100%, and a process for making it by vigorously hydrogenating bis(4- aminophenyl)methane, separating solid and liquid fractions of bis(4-aminocyclohexyl)- methane from the semi-solid mass obtained, optionally purifying the solid fraction, and phosgenating it.
