Abstract
1,161,815. Tempered glass windscreens. FORD MOTOR CO. 9 Dec., 1966, No. 55242/66. Heading C1M. A differentially tempered windscreen has areas A centred on prints 9 in which the average particle size of partially toughened glass is larger than the average particle size of areas B concentric with the first areas. There may be several such annuli each having smaller particle size than those nearer the centre. Air from a rotating disc is blown on to the treated glass through a screen having baffles.
