Abstract

1,161,465. Centrifugal separtors. COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIOUE. 2 Jan., 1968 [6 Jan., 1967], No. 249/68. Heading B2P. In a high-speed centrifuge comprising a rotary bowl 1 formed of a shell 2 and two end plates, the shell and each end plate 3 are assembled together with the interposition of a seal 12 by means of circumferentially spaced studs 4 which traverse the plate 3 at right angles to its median plane, the shell and the end plate interfitting each other along contact surfaces 14, 17 respectively inclined and perpendicular to the bowl axis.
