Abstract

1,158,671. Feeding sheets. RANK XEROX Ltd. 2 Jan., 1967 [3 Jan., 1966], No. 52/67. Heading B8R. A sheet pile table comprises a base-plate 16, Fig. 2 and 4, and side guide plates 17,20 movable towards and away from each other according to the width of the sheets by means of a gear member 25 pivoted on the plate 16 and rotatable by a handle 26 to rotate pinions 27, 30 on the plate 16, the pinion engaging racks 28, 31 guided on the plate 16 and engaging pins 35, 36 on the plates 17, 20. The front edges of the pile are engaged by members 82, 83 which are raised when the plate 16 is retracted along rails 46 to replenish the pile.
