[Also in Division B5] A decorative article, for example a crash pad for a motor vehicle interior, comprises a body 10 of a soft flexible resilient foamed synthetic resin to which is applied a covering in the form of a wood veneer 14 sandwiched between thin layers 12, 13 of transparent synthetic thermoplastic attached to the veneer by heat sealing. The body may be of polyurethane or polyvinylchloride and the covering, which may be vacuum-formed to fit the body, may be attached to it by pressure-sensitive adhesive or, when the -body is of polyvinylchloride, by solvent welding. The body may be formed by injection moulding so as to adhere to a sheet metal member 11.
