1,155,807. Rear-viewing apparatus. TELOOK K.K. 29 March, 1968, No. 15188/68. Heading B7J. [Also in Division H4] A television camera is mounted on an automobile to provide a view to the rear of the vehicle and a TV receiver is mounted in a position to be seen by the driver, a control unit being provided near the driver's seat to control relay-operated switch means which reverse the polarity of the horizontal deflection circuit of the camera. This enables a mirror image (as with a rear view mirror) to be seen when the vehicle is in forward movement and when reversing, a picture which corresponds with the driver's view when looking back. Facilities may be provided for switching the TV receiver to receive the normal broadcast programmes.
