Abstract

1,155,550. Pigment composition. FARBWERKE HOECHST A.G. 7 June, 1967 [7 June, 1966], No. 26324/67. Heading C3P. [Also in Division D1] A dry, non-dusting pigment preparation which contains a pigment and a carrier substance consisting of a mixture of (a) a terpolymer comprising vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate and a dicarboxylic acid having a -CH = CH- group, preferably maleic acid, and (b) a bispolymer comprising vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate units and optionally a stabilizer is prepared by mixing a pigment without use of a solvent at 110-160‹ C. with the solid carrier as above. The pigment is organic or inorganic and in the examples the stabilizer is di-n-octyl tin bis-(thioglycolic acid octyl ester) and epoxidized soya bean oil.
