Abstract

1,154,213. Railway gauges. F. PLASSER. July 4, 1966 [July 5, 1965], No. 29887/66. Heading G1M. A railway gauge is provided with telescoping parts 1, 1<SP>1</SP> having at their extremities contact parts 6, 6<SP>1</SP> and bearing rollers 5, 5<SP>1</SP>. A spring 9<SP>1</SP> (see Fig. 2, not shown) pushes the parts apart to engage the rails 7, and they may be fixed in a required position by a screw clamp 10. Lamps 12, 13 respectively indicate whether the distance between the rails exceeds or is less than a predetermined length by movement of sliding contact rails within the hollow part 9. If the distance is correct neither lamp is illuminated.
