Abstract

1,153,889. Wire coil feed unit. RALEIGH INDUSTRIES Ltd. 25 Sept., 1967 [28 Sept., 1966], No. 43305/66. Heading D1J. A wire coil on an inner locator 12 secured to a base part' 11, is surrounded by an outer coil locator 13. The outer coil locator 13 carries a guide 15 for the wire and has attachment means 18b whereby it is removably securable to co-operating parts 18a on the base part 11. A pay-out control 16 is held by the inner locator 12. As shown the pay-out control 12 is a rigid circular element 16a having radial arms 16b that are sprung into the inner locator 12. The wire is fed through a weight 19 below the control 9.
