Abstract

1,153,157. Air-conditioning installations. GW VENTILATION A.S. 31 Aug., 1966 [31 Aug., 1965], No. 38932/66. Heading F4V. In an air conditioning installation having warm and cold air outlets the temperature of discharged air is controlled by a thermostat and the total volume of discharged air is controlled by a flow controller. The controller is inactive when no warm air is required by operation of a valve 16. During summer the warm air duct can be used to supply additional cold air. Fan 1 supplies air to heating and cooling units- 2, 3 respectively and air therefrom flows via valves 7, 8 to a room. Valve 7 is controlled by an air flow controller 11 having pressure sensing devices 12, 13 situated on each side of a grill 14 and responding to the total volume of air discharged so that this volume is kept constant. Compressed air from pipes 10, 15 is used by the controller 11 and by a room thermostat 9 to control the valves 7, 8. To increase the output of the fan a switch 18 may be actuated whereby the fan output may be doubled.
