[Also in Division H4] A common contact a is reversed at the energization of one or other winding I, II of a relay A, the mechanical movement lasting longer than the initiating electric impulse (Fig. 1b not shown). Such a relay may be used in combination with a rectifier at each cross-point of a switching network (Fig. 2), one pulse establishing a connection and another pulse breaking it. A combination of relays A-D may be used to form a binary cascade counter, Fig. 3a. By arranging the second winding such as E1 II in series with the first winding E2 I of the succeeding relay a ring counter, Fig. 4, may be provided.
