Abstract
1,152,414. Cup dispensing apparatus. AMERICAN CAN CO. 17 June, 1966, No. 27142/66. Heading A4T Stacks of nested cups 16, 18, Fig. 1, rest in line on tracks 80 in e.g. the door 14 of a beverage dispenser, the leading stack being pushed past a sprung gate 32 to above a dispensing point 20 when a switch 38 detects the previous stack 40 is substantially depleted, switch 38 energizing motor 22 which reciprocates rod 26 which, via a clutch 28, inches forward an angular pusher 30 abutting the last stack in line. At the dispensing point motor 34, Figs. 1, 11 controlled by cam operated limit switch 120, 122 rotates pinions 112, 114, and via ring gear 116, a series of worms 36, one revolution whereby the worms separate the bottom cup from the stack which drops through the ring gear. The lower gear support plate 100 is removable via nuts 104 for cleaning or repair or for changing the worms to feed out different sized cups.
