A weed-killing composition contains 2,6 - dichlorobenzonitrile and 2 - methyl - 4,6 - dinitrophenol or a salt thereof (e.g. the ammonium salt) as active ingredients. The composition is .particularly useful for combatting weeds in winter wheat.
