Abstract
1,150,718. Transistor oscillator circuits. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGS G.m.b.H. 20 May, 1966 [20 May, 1965], No. 22514/66. Heading H3T. In an oscillator circuit including a transistor 1, an oscillatory circuit including inductance 2 and capacitance 3, a feedback circuit including a phase shifting capacitance 5 connect to a tap on the inductance 2 and to the emitter of the transistor 1 and means U R for applying a control voltage to the base of the transistor to control the frequency of the oscillator, the arrangement is such that the phase-shifting capacitance 5 is caused to resonate with that part 4 of the inductance 2 connected in series with it, at a harmonic of the frequency of the oscillatory circuit 2, 3 so as to steepen a portion of the output oscillation. The collector output voltage (Fig. 5A, not shown), may be shaped by a limiter valve 15 or a driver transistor (20, Fig. 4, not shown), for feeding a line deflection output circuit of a T.V. display arrangement. The oscillator is set to oscillate at a mid-frequency by a variable resistance 11 and then varied about this frequency by the control voltage U R . The capacitor 5, emitter resistor 7 and internal resistance of the transistor are arranged to provide a phase shift between the collector and emitter voltages which differs from 90 degrees. In a modified oscillator (Fig. 2, not shown), an NPN transistor is used.
