[Also in Division C3] Aluminium paste made from particles of coated A1 foil waste and scrap, and water as the sole liquid, is used in the production of pyrotechnics, e.g. Roman candles. The coating substances constitute 1-50% of the solid content of the paste, which may also include 4-20% wt. boric acid and/or gum arabic. Uncoated Al particles may also be present.
