Abstract

Rollers.-A metallic holder for gears, rolls, &c. made of compressible material, such as fabric, raw hide, &c., comprises two main cylindrical parts, which telescope one in the other and are secured together. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the compressible material 5 is held between inclined. flanges 8, 10 of telescopic parts 6, 9, which are secured together by turning up the edge 12 whilst the parts are held in a press. In the form shown in Fig. 3, flanged telescopic parts 6<a>, 9<a> are secured together bv screws 14<a>. The compressed material in the holder may be cut to form teeth or otherwise finished
