Abstract

1,145,228. Toy building blocks. B. W. TAYLOR. 17 May, 1967 [17 Oct., 1966], No. 22983/67. Heading A6S. A toy building block contains a designbearing means which is rotatably mounted between supports on the inside faces of the top and the bottom of the block. The designbearing means can be viewed in different positions of rotation at one side of the block at least. A preferred embodiment features a cylindrical cup of transparent plastic as the design-bearing means with a decorative strip fitted against the inner wall of said cylinder. The design may be viewed through a window in at least one side of the block, as in fig. 5. The block may carry designs on its outer walls, which complement the designs or figures seen on the design-bearing means. The block may, in another embodiment, be of a transparent material. The design bearing means may be of a shape other than cylindrical.
