Abstract
1,143,858. Packages. CHOCOLADEFABRIKEN LINDT & SPRUNGLI A.G. 12 June, 1967 [15 June, 1966], No. 27057/67. Heading B8C. A package for foodstuffs, e.g. chocolate bars, comprises an outer wrapper having in one corner a tear-open portion 6 of substantially triangular shape defined by tear lines 7, 8, said portion being secured, e.g. by adhesive, to an inner wrapper so that when the outer wrapper is torn open, a portion of the inner wrapper situated beneath the tear flap 6 will also be torn away. As described, a chocolate bar is laid on a sheet (2) with side flaps (2a) and the whole overwrapped in tinfoil (3), Fig. 1 (not shown). The tinfoil (3), which constitutes the inner wrapper, has an area (4) daubed with adhesive and is then placed in an outer carton wrapper made from the blank of Fig. 2, where 7, 8 are weakening lines and 9 a cut defining a protruding tab 26 for gripping. Instead of adhesive, tacking or stitching may be employed.
