Abstract

1,141,712. Alarm systems. E. W. BLISS CO. 27 April, 1966 [7 June, 1965], No. 18455/66. Heading G4H. In a system in which a plurality of local stations are connected in a loop and each station is arranged to transmit a unique combination of frequencies in response to an alarm, AND gates corresponding to the respective stations (represented as switches 30-36) are enabled on receipt at the central station of the particular combination of frequencies. When an AND gate is enabled, clock pulse generator 48 is started and clock pulses are supplied to the stepping magnet 136 of switch 50 and also to gating transistor 110. The AND gate output on one of lines 166-171 is converted by matrix 46 into a parallel code, and as the wiper of switch 50 rotates, a clock pulse is allowed to pass through transistor 110 to recorder 29 for each contact of switch 50 except those marked by matrix 46.
