Abstract

1,141,608. Solid tyres. RUBBER PLASTICS Ltd. 3 June, 1966 [21 June, 1965], No. 26106/65. Heading B7C. In order to reduce any tendency to breakage of the bond of a polyurethane tyre 12 with a metal rim 10 the rim has at each edge a circumferential rebate into which liquid polyurethane flows, during casting of the tyre on the rim, to form radial flanges 13. The rim has an outside diameter and width of at least 6 and 2 inches respectively; the tyre has a minimum radial depth of ¢ inch, and each rebate has a radial and axial depth between # and ¢ inch, and <SP>1</SP>/ 16 and ¢ inch respectively.
