A power-supply cell is retained in a miniature radio, for example, by an insulating knob which comprises a conductive cup-shaped lining accommodating the base of the cell and having three lugs on its lip by which it fits bayonetwise into a corresponding recess in the radio, and by subsequent further rotation one lug contacts a spring blade to form a switch. A notch in the said lug and another in the wall of the insulating casing co-operate respectively with a V-bend in the spring blade to locate the " on " and " off " positions.
