Abstract
1,134,889. N-Allyl-thioureas. W. J. MYLES, F. S. MOUSSALLI, A BLOOM, and P. L. TOBEY. 13 Dec., 1965 [11 Dec., 1964], No. 52776/65. Heading C2C. [Also in Division D1] N-Allyl-thioureas in which one nitrogen atom carries an allyl group as the sole substituent and the other nitrogen is mono- or di-substituted, are prepared by reacting allyl isothiocyanate with a compound containing at least one primary amino group. Specified amino compounds include heterocyclic, aryl, cycloalkyl and alkyl mono- and diamines, and phenyl hydrazine. The alkyl-amines may be substituted by hydroxy groups. The thioureas are used to inhibit discoloration in textile materials (see Division D1).
