Abstract

Boxes combined with cigar cutters and means for displaying advertisements; contents, delivering; match-striking surfaces. - A combined cigar cutter, match, toothpick, or drinking-straw ejector, and advertising-device comprises a casing o provided with a cutter o, a rotatable drum b adapted to display advertisements at an aperture j in the casing, and a sliding ejector w adapted to transfer matches &c. from a box x to an external tray w<5>, all operated by a hand-lever f secured to a rocking shaft g. A slot w<3> in the ejector w, which is actuated by a finger v on the shaft g, carries one match at a time to an aperture w<4> in the casing, through which the match drops into the tray w<5>. A replaceable match-striking surface is secured by a screw clamp to the outside of the casing.
