Abstract

1,132,786. Clutch combinations. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. 8 Feb., 1966 [9 April, 1965], No. 5382/66. Heading F2C. Multi-plate friction clutches K 1 , K 2 are selectively engageable to connect a driving flywheel S to gears 29, 5 of a change-speed gear. The clutches are engaged by stationary electromagnets 11, 13, the clutch K 1 having a set of plates mounted on extensions 16 of the flywheel and a driven set of plates mounted on a member 27 which is connected by a vibration damper 28 to the gear-wheel 29. The clutch K 2 . comprises a driving set of plates mounted on extensions 17 of the flywheel and a driven set of plates splined to a shaft 4. Presser plates 30, 40 of the clutches are connected to the respective extensions 16, 17 by cam-sided projections on the extensions engaging corresponding cam sided recesses in the presser plates so that when the clutch is engaged by its electromagnet the presser plate is cammed axially to increase the engaging pressure.
