Abstract
1,132,763. Measuring moisture electrically. ROWNTREE & CO. Ltd. March 3, 1967 [March 3, 1966], No.9425/66. Heading G1N. The moisture measuring system of Application 9426/66 is modified for use when there is more than one secondary variable, by the simultaneous application of at least two test frequencies. Output signals are derived from two sets of phase-sensitive detectors, (working at the two applied frequencies), and fed to a suitable "computing" network as before. Preferably the output of one of the detectors is fed to a servosystem to adjust the bridge network and "null-balance" the major phase component. The output to the subsequent computing system is then taken from the feedback potentiometer in the servosystem.
