Dobbies.-The reciprocating draw-bars or knives b are made with a hook b<1> at each end and of a uniform thickness throughout to pass through the guide-slots 2<a> in the end-frames 2. Each hook is engaged by a link c connected by a screwed rod d and a piece p to the actuating-lever f. The effective length of the rod d is determined by adjusting nuts k. m, and the end d<1> of the rod passes through a hole in the link c and is adjusted in contact with the draw-bar b by means of nuts g, h. The link c is free to oscillate to the required extent on the bar b, and, when the piece p has been disconnected from the lever f, the link may be freed from the hook bv horizontal movement of the rod d. If a bar b should break, its parts can slip free of the slots 2<a> without damaging the endframes.
