Abstract

1,130,973. Laminated logic element. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORP. 26 May, 1967 [3 May, 1966], No. 19538/66. Heading G4P. A fluid logic element, e.g., a bi-stable element, is characterized in that it is constructed from laminations extending normally to the plane of the element, i.e., so that different output channels lie in different laminations. Fig. 5 (and Fig. 2 in exploded form) shows a conventional bi-stable wall attachment element in which supply fluid P 1 flows along one of two output channels O 1 , O 2 , being switchable by control inputs C 1 , C 2 . According to the Specification since very thin lamina material can be made accurately the distance the power jet has to be deflected can be made small and the device will consume less power than conventional devices.
