Abstract

1,129,840. Protecting foreshores. KALLE A.G. 31 Jan., 1966 [2 Feb., 1965], No. 4132/ 66. Heading E1H. For its protection from erosion a surf-endangered sandy foreshore is covered with loose bundles each consisting of matted loosely associated continuous strips of plastics material and the layer formed is anchored to the foreshore by driven piles. The plastics material may be used strips of plastics film irregularly arranged and matted to form loose bundles or it may be rolls of used film web extended to form loose spirals. The anchorage points may be connected by wires passing over the layer of material.
