A pesticidal composition, suitable for combating mites and insects and their eggs comprises a gaseous mixture of the compound and dimethyldichlorovinylphosphate. In combating the pests in greenhouses, the active compounds can be applied to the heating system, or to heated plates, in the form of sprays or solutions, so that the air becomes saturated with the active compounds in gaseous form. The pesticidal composition may also be used to combat pests associated with warm-blooded animals, for example mites in poultry sheds.
