A unit for locating a pipe 11 in a floor 112 and adapted for connection to like superimposed units consists of interconnected plates 3, 4, 5 having an annular extension 6, 7, 7a packed, if desired, with a fire-proof insulation 9. The units are reinforced by crosspieces 16 and bolted together, a cover 18 being provided for the insulation 9.
