Abstract

1,127,979. Detachable handle for cooking vessels. RADIATION Ltd. 27 June, 1967 [28 June, 1966], No. 28982/66. Heading A4A. A detachable handle for a grill pan or other cooking utensils comprises a loop 1 of mild steel rod formed so that its upper end carries a moulded plastics grip 2 and the lower end extends substantially horizontally to underlie and support the marginal region of the underside of a grill pan 13 when engaged with the latter. A mild steel bracket 7, welded by means of down-turned flanges to one of the intermediate inclined portions 4, has a vertically upwardly extending portion 10, and secured to it by rivets 9 spring clip 8 with a portion parallel to the portion 10 having a stud-like projection 12, and terminating in an inclined portion 11. The grill pan for use with the handle is provided with a downwardly open socket 14 defined by a shaped strip of metal secured to the outer surface of one upstanding wall, into which is introduced the portion 10 of the bracket 7 until the portion 3 of the loop abuts the underside of the pan.
