Abstract

1,127,203. Semi-conductor switching circuits. FUJITSU Ltd. 19 April, 1966 [19 April, 1965(2)], No. 17190/66. Heading H3T. [Also in Division H2] A stepping motor (see Division H2) has a plurality of stator poles each including electrically conducting material co-operating with a plurality of rotor poles some of which are permanent magnets and means for passing current through the conducting material on the stator poles to apply torque to the rotor. The conductive material on alternate stator poles is connected in series to provide two groups of stator windings 6a, 6b which are connected as the output of a bridge circuit having two arms each consisting of a transistor Q12, Q13 connected in series with a diode D13, D14 respectively. The other arms each include a SCR, Q15, Q16, which is controlled by a transistor Q11, Q14 connected to the gate electrode. In operation the diagonally opposite arms are rendered conducting to give the required current flow pattern in the stator windings. Control voltages for the transistors are obtained from a pulse generator which is connected in turn through a contact member rotating with the rotor, Fig. 10 (not shown), to a respective mono-stable multivibrator connected to the bases of the two respective transistors.
