Abstract

1,126,488. Heat exchanger tube supports. EMBASSY INDUSTRIES Inc. 29 Dec., 1965 [18 June, 1965], No. 55036/65. Heading F4S. In a fin-tube unit comprising an elongate tube with transverse fins 12, friction and noise due to the expansion and contraction of the unit are minimized by V-shaped elongate members 21 of plastics or like flexible non- metallic material, the legs 22, 23 of which have beaded portions 25, 26 which snap into arcuate recesses 17 near the corners 16 of the fins so that the barbs 20 penetrate the legs 22, 23. The unit is supported on brackets (13), Fig. 1 (not shown), by spaced line contacts on edges such as 27.
