Abstract
1,125,050. Valves. RUMANIA, MINISTRY FOR THE PETROLEUM & CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES. 26 Oct., 1966, No. 48095/66. Heading F2V. A float-operated valve includes three floats 15, 12, 17 positioned one above another in a tank 1, the upper float 17 being arranged to hold the central float 12 in its lower position until the upper float is lifted by the rise in liquid level and the lower float is arranged to hold the central float in its upper position until the lower float falls with the liquid level. As the liquid level rises in the tank the float 12 is held submerged by a stop r which swings to a position clear of a rod 13 carried by the float 12 when a link 20 actuated by upward movement of tho float 17 releases it. The subsequent rapid upward movement of the float 12 causes a discharge valve 5 to be snapped open by \ abutments n striking levers 6. As the liquid level falls, the rod 13 and hence the float 12 are held in the upper position by a stop 21 which is released by a link 22 when the lower float 15 falls.
