Abstract

1,125,011. Telephone sets. ERICSSON TELEPHONES Ltd. 3 May, 1967 [8 March, 1966], No. 10188/66. Heading H4J. [Also in Division E2] At a telephone switchboard a dial assembly may be retracted within the key shelf and covered over. Fig. 1 shows the dial assembly 16 in a retracted position covered by a plate 34 having a spring strip 35 one end of which engages a slot 28 in a release spring 30. The dial assembly 16 is mounted in a box 8 hinged, upon a spindle 7 and spring biased upwards. Upon partially pulling the release spring outwards the spring strip is released from the slot 28 and the dial assembly rises upwards, throwing off the covering plate, until lip 12 of the box engages surface 26 of the release spring 30. Pulling the release spring out still further enables the dial to emerge from the keyshelf 1 with lip 12 finally engaging the underside of plate 4. The dial assembly is restored to its original retracted position by pulling out the release spring 30 and pushing the assembly back into the keyshelf and with the cover in place before releasing the release spring.
