Abstract

An adhesive which may be used in making a transfer (see Division B6) consists of polyethylene wax, polyvinyl butyl ether, white spirit, methyl iso-butyl carbinol and, optionally, yellow dye. Examples of compositions of inks which may be employed are (1) hydroxyl-propyl methyl cellulose, water, wetting agents, methyl violet dye and (2) hydroxyl propyl methyl cellulose, isopropanol, water, dye.ALSO:In the making of transfers (see Division B6), compositions of inks which may be employed are as follows: (1) gelatine 34%, water 65%, auramine yellow dye 1%, (2) microcrystalline wax with combined tacky polymers 39 parts, white spirit 58 parts, "Waxoline" (R.T.M.) Induline dye 3 parts, (3) stearyl dimethyl benzyl montanate 25%, butanol 74%, dye 1%.
