1,123,841. Platforms. FOSTER WHEELER Ltd. and NON-CORROSIVE METAL PRODUCTS Ltd. 1 March, 1965 [27 Feb., 1964; 3 April, 1964], Nos 8269/64 and 13876/64. Heading E1S. An inspection platform in a furnace combustion chamber has telescopicly adjustable side spans with end section hinged to them supported by cables 38, 40 extending from near the roof, and adjusted by means of winches mounted on the platform. The crossspans of the platform may be pivoted to the side spans so that the side spans can be tilted to pass a nose projecting from a furnace wall. The cross-spans may also be telescopic.
