[Also in Division D1] Pile fabrics woven face-to-face and then cut into separate fabrics 15, 16 have a pile of stiff monofilaments 14 of polypropylene. Brushes. The cut fabric may be used as a brush, and may have a pad of foamed polyurethane attached to its back. As shown in Fig. 4, two fabrics are secured together back to back and formed into a tube having pile 22, 24 both inside and outside to constitute a surgical scrubbing brush, the inner pile serving to clean the fingers. Carpet underlays. The uncut double fabric 11, 12, 14 may be used as an underlay for carpets.
