1,121,438. Mounting dial gauges. ENG. PRODUCTS Ltd. Nov. 28, 1966 [Dec. 6, 1965], No.51702/65. Heading G1J. [Also in Division H1] For mounting purposes a dial gauge or like instrument has a permanent magnet 14 secured centrally to the backplate 11 thereof, and extending over a substantial proportion of the area thereof. A polepiece 15 fits between the magnet and the dial gauge. In the embodiment described the magnet is in the form of a cylinder with its axial coaxial with the dial gauge pointer and the polepiece is in the shape of a cup fitting round the cylinder.
