112,129. Farbenfabriken vorm. F. Bayer & Co. Dec. 21, 1916, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Mordant dyes, dyeing with; printing.-Fast shades are obtained by dyeing or printing textile fibres with alpha-oxynapbthnyl-o-henzoic acid, or its halogen &c. derivatives, and metallic mordants, e.g. chromium, aluminium, iron, or tin mordants. According to examples :-lemon-yellow to yellowish-brown prints are obtained by printing the fibre with a mixture of sodium alpha-oxynaphthol-o-benzoate, chromium or aluminium acetate, and thickening, and subsequently steaming etc.; lemon-yellow discharges on a red ground are obtained by printing fabric, dyed with a dischargeable red azo dye, with a mixture of sodium alpha-oxynaphthoyl-o-benzoate, chromium acetate, thickening, and rongalite C, and subsequently steaming &c.
