Abstract
The invention comprises compounds of the formula <FORM:1120667/C2/1> where R1 is a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group of 1-4 carbon atoms which may be substituted by a halogen atom, R2 is H or alkyl of 1-4 carbon atoms, R3 is H, alkyl or alkoxy of 1-4 carbon atoms, provided that both R2 and R3 are not H, X is halogen, trifluoromethyl, alkyl, alkoxy or nitro, n is 1 or 2 and m is 0-2. The compounds are prepared by reacting the corresponding sulphonyl aryl isocyanate with an alkyl- or dialkyl-amine, or with an O-alkyl- or O,Ndialkyl-hydroxylamine, or with an O-alkyl- or N-alkyl-hydroxylamine and alkylating the product obtained, or with hydroxylamine and dialkylating the product obtained, or by reacting a sulphonyl aryl amine with an alkyl isocyanate or a dialkyl carbamic acid chloride, or by reacting a sulphonyl aryl carbamic acid chloride with an alkyl- or dialkyl-amine or with an O-alkyl- or O,N-dialkyl-hydroxylamine.ALSO:A herbicidal composition contains as the active substance a compound of the formula <FORM:1120667/A5-A6/1> where R1 is a saturated or unsatured aliphatic hydrocarbon group of 1-4 carbon atoms which may be substituted by a halogen atom, R2 is H or alkyl of 1-4 carbon atoms, R3 is H, alkyl or alkoxy of 1-4 carbon atoms, provided that both R2 and R3 are not H, X is halogen, trifluoromethyl, alkyl, alkoxy or nitro, n is 1 or 2 and m is 0-2.
