Abstract

1,119,871. Reactivating cement on soles. COX & WRIGHT Ltd. .28 Feb., 1967 [3 March, 1966], No. 9452/66. Heading A3B. An apparatus for reactivating the adhesive on a shoe sole 16 comprises a heater 12 and a cooling means 18 for simultaneously cooling the opposite side of the sole to enable easier handling by an operator. As described, when the adhesive is at the required temperature, the sole 16 is removed from a grid 14 by pivoting a duct 20 to the right by a handle 28 or a jack 30 which is perferably operated automatically by a timer or a thermostat. When the duct 20 is in the pivoted position, the air is redirected through a trunk 38, to escape through a grille 40, in order to keep the apparatus cool.
