Abstract

1,117,752. Microwave heating. MENSCHNER G.m.b.H. [trading as JOHANNES MENSCHNER TEXTILMASCHINENFABRIK]. 17 Aug., 1965 [9 Sept., 1964], No. 35240/65. Heading H5H. A microwave heating device comprises a microwave generator and a meander shaped assembly of hollow conductors consisting of adjacent upper and lower parts between which material 12 passes, each two adjacent conductors 10 of one part extending parallel, and being attached together by a collector duct 17 having an aperture 18 which opens into the space between the conductors, and each conductor being divided into two ducts 13, 13<SP>1</SP> by an apertured internal wall 15. To prevent condensation warm air is passed along ducts 13, into ducts 13<SP>1</SP> over the material and is withdrawn via ducts 17. As shown the lower part is a mirror image of the upper but except for the wave guides 19<SP>1</SP> this may be dispensed with.
