Abstract
The invention comprises compounds of formulae <FORM:1113813/C2/1> <FORM:1113813/C2/2> wherein X and R are C1- 6 alkanoyl groups, and their preparation by diesterification of the 17b -ol-3-one, followed if desired by partial hydrolysis. The compounds of the invention have progestational activity and may be used in pharmaceutical compositions in combination with a carrier, for example in forms suitable for oral, parenteral or rectal administration.
