Abstract

1,113,137. Retractable ball-point pen. RADIANT PEN CORPORATION. 24 May, 1966 [16 July, 1965], No. 23006/66. Heading B6P. In the retracting mechanism of a ball-point pen, of the type having a plunger or push button 30, a ratchet member or turn button 40, and an internally grooved and toothed barrel or cap member 10, the ratchet member 40 is provided with a hub 52 from which laterally extend four radial ears 54 with a tapered tooth 56 on the upper face of each. The upper edge of the hub 52 is provided with an auxiliary set of eight circularly arranged teeth 60, which engage eight teeth 58 on the bottom edge of the plunger 30.
