Abstract

1,112,668. Rollers. GEWERKSCHAFT EISENHœTTE WESTFALIA. 8 Oct., 1965 [9 Nov., 1964], No. 42746/65. Heading F2U. A roller comprises an outer shell 1 of synthetic plastic force-fitted on an inner shell 2 of the same material which is rotatably mounted on a spindle 4 by means of bearings 5, 6 and located axially by a cotter pin 7 passing through the spindle and located within a spacer sleeve 15 between the bearings. In a modification (Fig. 2, not shown), the shells are formed with sleeves rotatably mounted on a journal by means of a bush and located axially between a step and a cotter pin. The inner shell is filled with oil.
